JL front track bars have already been revised for steering complaints. Early trucks used 68317849AA, then 68394087AA, which owners discussed as a stiffer-bushing update, then the current bar 68524201AA. If the JL wanders or shimmies and it still has an early bar, this is one of the first parts to check, after the bolts are tight.
The steering damper is 68624105AB. It replaces a long list of earlier numbers, including the 68251580 series, and the same number is listed for the Gladiator. It is a cheap part and a common first purchase for a shimmy. It is rarely the root of a real wobble. A damper hides play. It does not center the axle.
A JK bar, 52059982AG, is a different axle and a different frame bracket. Confirm the JL bar against your VIN. Tie rods, ball joints, and alignment are part of the same diagnosis and are not listed here.

When to replace
Torque and inspect the track-bar bolts and brackets before you order a bar. Replace the bar when the bushings are worn, or when the truck still has an early number and a real wander or shimmy remains after the hardware is tight. Replace the damper when it is leaking, or after the bar, the tires, and the alignment are already sorted. Do not stack a new damper on a loose bar and call the diagnosis done.
Safety
A shimmy at highway speed is a control problem. Do not reproduce it in traffic to show someone. Support the axle before the track bar comes off. Re-torque after the first drive. If the bracket hole is wallowed, a new bar will not hold the axle on center.
