JL and Gladiator 3.6 engine parts in this lookup are the oil-filter housing, the spark plugs, and the ignition coils. Housing 68596317AB is the current Mopar plastic assembly and is shared with 2014-and-later JKs. The Dorman aluminum kit is also cataloged for some JL 3.6s. Confirm year and engine before you buy. The plug and the coil are not shared with the JK.
The plug is SP225755AB, the same as Champion 9417. It looks like the JK plug SP149125AF, and it is not that plug. The ceramic and the ground electrode differ. The coil is 68223569AD, which replaces 68223569AB and AC. The JK coil 5149168AJ does not substitute because the engine is also a 3.6.
The housing sits in the valley under the intake. Cracked plastic or failed seals put oil, and sometimes coolant, in the valley and down the back of the engine. That failure looks like the JK failure. The parts around it are not the same. The JK cam sensor is not on this page.

When to replace
Replace the housing when oil or coolant is in the valley or dripping at the bellhousing from above. Replace plugs as a set of six, on interval or when a plug is the misfire, and buy the JL number. Torque is 13 ft-lbs, the same figure as the JK, but the plug is not. The upper intake comes off for the driver bank. While it is off, look at the valley housing. Replace a coil after a swap test moves the misfire with the coil. One bad coil is one cylinder.
Safety
Let the engine cool before the intake comes off, and keep rags out of the ports. Stop driving if oil and coolant are mixing. On eTorque Wranglers and Gladiators the belt-starter and 48-volt hardware sit over this engine. Identify the truck before you pull the intake. Orange cables and the 48-volt pack are dealer or qualified-tech work. A coil swap on a non-hybrid 3.6 is not.
